Bare Metal Hypervisor Recommendation
#1
Hello everyone, I am curious as to what you guys use for bare metal orchestration. I know for VPS's we use proxmox, but wanted to know what you guys use or a recommendation for bare metal servers. Essentially, we would need it to manage ISO's for installation, IP assignment, and integration with billing (looking at using WHMCS since we already have a license). We would need the software to expand with the number of servers as they become available and occupy additional rack space.

What do you use? What do you recommend?

Bare Metal Specs:
42U Rack with 36 1U servers

Thank you in advance!

If you're already using proxmox and have 36 servers standing by, sounds like an opportunity to do a big proxmox cluster with shared storage -- each server / node is a storage node. Now you have a cloud and if a server goes down, VMs move to another and no downtime for those VMs.
